More than 50 McDonald’s locations around the UK are now offering customers a free meal for a day, according to the UK’s largest fast food chain.
The promotion is available from Tuesday, November 6 and will run for four days.
The offer is available at restaurants in England, Wales and Scotland and is a direct response to customers’ requests, McDonald’s said in a statement.
“This is a great opportunity for customers to spend some quality time with their families and friends and it will be even better when they visit our new UK locations,” McDonald’s UK marketing manager Simon MacKenzie said in the statement.
The promotion has been in the works for some time and it was first announced last year by McDonald’s in the United Kingdom.
McDonald’s has expanded in the country in recent years, and the company said the promotion would help it expand into the UK.
McDonalds, however, hasn’t been able to expand into other European countries due to restrictions in the food safety and food packaging laws in those countries.
However, McDonalds has opened more than 40 new UK restaurants since the promotion began in 2016, and it is the latest in a line of initiatives in the fast food giant’s drive to become a global brand.
“This opportunity to celebrate the holidays with our loyal customers is a welcome one for our brand,” MacKenny said in an emailed statement.
