When it comes to eating less, it’s not the calories or the carbs that count, it is the time spent.
In the United States, the average person spends 8 hours per day doing things like working out, watching television, reading, or doing laundry.
And that’s before you factor in the time we spend with our families, friends, and coworkers.
If we want to cut down on food waste and have a happier, healthier life, it makes sense to eat less.
While there are some tips and tricks for minimizing food waste, the most important tip to stick to is to spend time with your family, according to research from the University of Texas at Austin.
“If you want to save a lot of money, spend more time with family and friends and spend less time cooking,” said researcher David B. Molnar.
Mohanar and his colleagues surveyed more than 2,000 adults and found that, among those who consumed fewer calories than they did last year, they were less likely to have problems with weight gain, lower cholesterol levels, and lower blood pressure.
What’s more, when participants used the calorie counter, they reported lower stress levels and lower levels of hunger, depression, and anxiety.
And while many of these findings are good news for the health of the US, there are plenty of other ways to save money.

“The findings suggest that eating more frequently and eating fewer calories is a good thing for your body, your mental health, and your relationships,” Molnars said.
But there are still some tips for making sure you don’t spend more than you’re going to use.
“It’s not that you’re not eating more,” Mohanars said, “it’s that you are spending less.”
Mohanaries team suggests that participants look at their food and make sure it’s healthy.
“A lot of the time you just want to eat the food you’re eating,” Mominas said.
“That’s not necessarily the right thing to do.”
It’s important to avoid spending money on unhealthy foods like sugary drinks, snacks, or food that’s not actually healthy.
If you’re worried about losing weight, look into going vegetarian.
And if you want a healthier lifestyle, try eating less junk food and using less processed foods.
Keep an eye on your food choices and use a budget to set aside money for food.
